How to clean my hair extensions ?
While clip-in hair extensions don't require excessive cleaning, especially if you don't wear them every day, they do need to be washed occasionally in order to keep them in good condition.
Clip-in extensions require special care to ensure that the clips and the hair will last. Whether you're wearing synthetic or human hair clip-in extensions, the process is relatively simple, but it's always wise to proceed with caution.

Human hair extensions must be untangled before washing. It's best to use your fingers to gently pull tangled hair apart. By their very nature, hair extensions are rather delicate and do require a certain amount of attention when you handle them, using a comb or a brush to clean and straighten your extensions is not recommended as doing so can tear or break the hair and pull them out of the clips. Through normal use and care your extensions will thin out and is to be expected. So try and avoid access styling.
Fill a large bowl or a sink with lukewarm water. Place the ends of the hair extensions in the water and drape the end with the clip over the side of the bowl or sink. Keeping the clips out of the water is essential to avoid rusting and breaking. While the clips can be replaced if they start to break, it's much easier to avoid this by keeping the clips dry. Never brush or comb wet hair extensions , as they are very easy to damage while wet.

Be careful to keep wefts separate from each other to avoid inter-tangling them together. It is important that you clean each weft separately, to avoid knotting and tangling multiple extensions .

A Blow dryer can be used to dry your extensions . Special care should be taken and you should always start out on low and work your way up as needed. Be careful to only blow dry from the top down. Blow drying from the bottom up can cause teasing and knotting.
